Advance Tickets can be purchased for $12.00 by calling 979-836-2554. Pick up advance tickets and map at Bluebonnet House on the day of the tour.

Lunch items available for a nominal fee in the Rock Store by the Historical Society.

Enjoy activites throughout Winedale Historical Complex! Tour Winedale's historic homes, and take stagecoach and covered wagon rides from house to house. Visit the Raven Rangers campsite to experience military life in the Civil War era. Watch for the Weihnachtsmann (Santa Claus)! Children can make crafts in Winedale's one-room schoolhouse. Be entertained in the theatre barn by the German singers, an oompah band, dulcimer players, fiddlers, Round Top Children's Choir, Shakespeare players, and more. View demonstrations, including whittling, quiltmaking, and blacksmithing.

Bring the family to enjoy a nineteenth century holiday celebration.

Christmas is a wonderful season in Brenham. Forget those old stand-by boxed sweaters or handpainted ties. Give an experience for Christmas. Why not bring your mother, wife, husband, or sweetheart to a Unity Theatre (A Child's Christmas in Wales) or to Festival Hill (Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite) Christmas production. Combine it with a two night stay at Wrigley House and dinner at one of Brenham's fine restaurants.

On December 5-6 experience the Brenham's Hometown Holiday Christmas Stroll of the downtown area; that evening is the beautiful Parade of Lights with brilliantly decorated floats. This is small-town Texas at it's best.

On December 12, you can sample Christmas from a century ago at Washington-on-the-Brazos - Come share a traditional Christmas with the Jones family at Barrington Living Farm at their annual gathering of friends and neighbors. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with a sampling of 1850's music and dancing. Wassail and cookies will be served. The following day take in the Christmas Heritage Home tour in Chappell Hill.

The Fall Antique Festival in the Round Top area is well underway. Wrigley House is fully occupied for this season's festival and I love having all the avid antiquers. At the end of the day, it is always a treat to sit on the front porch with a glass of wine and see all the exciting "finds".

The Old Red Horse Barn

If you have visited Wrigley House you will remember an old red horse barn which sits behind Independence Cottage. Well, watch this space as it is turned into another wonderful accommodation which will sleep 4-5 people comfortably. It will have a separate bedroom with queen sized bed plus two to three single beds, full kitchen and a bath with walk-in rain shower. I will post photos as the demolition and reconstruction begins.

For now I am calling it the Old Red Barn, but the name may change. Keep this additional accommodation in mind for a April 2009 opening....just in time for the Round Top Antique Festival!
